I GOT IN TO MY FIRST CHOICEOF UNIVERSITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the grades I needed and Durham university has accepted me to do Biological Anthropology. I'll be starting soon! WEHEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean! The meaning of true art has become warped into a "follow the leader" mentality. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, but the last few days have been hectic. I've had to deal with the last few details of finishing school and I also just come out of a relationship, so hence the hecticness!

I have MANY friends here who are very accomplished artists, but the overall comments on their work is limited to the "OOOOOs and AHHHHHs" of the many "yes men" their fame seems to garner. Nothing is more worthless than an art groupie who wouldn't know a good artist when they see one, but who know all the FAMOUS artists!

True! One would assume that if an artist gets hundreds of comments all saying "OMG that's great!" then it must be true, ergo, they don't need to hear more of it. I for one, want more comments like "It would be even better if...." because then I improve. I always thought the point of this site was to give artists critique on their work that helped them improve, not to take part in one big popularity contest.

No, it's no problem, I just want to reserve the time to answer comprehensively. I love reading long musings, it shows that some people are thinking enough to go beyond the "Nice colors," or ":lol: :) :confused: the overuse of emoticons.
